OLIVIA CHARIS is a writer and artist from Louisiana, currently pursing her B.A. in American Studies at Yale. Passionate about exploring the relationship between art and culture, she has experience in archival research, curating, film producing and production design. She studied at FAMU in 2024, where she co-wrote and directed a film on 16mm, and was also a member of the Gotham EDU Film and Media Development Program's fifth cohort as a Sidney Poitier Scholar. She works in the Imaging Studios at the Yale Peabody Museum and is actively the creative director and producer of a multimedia exhibition opening at Morse College in April 2025.
